WebDAV: Windows 7

This is a pictorial guide demonstrating how to connect to a WebDAV share using Windows 7. Click or double click where you see the mouse pointer in each image below. The WebDAV share URL (referred to below as Internet or network address) “https://www.blazej-solutions.com/users/guest” and User name “guest” are example values. You'll need to substitute in the appropriate values for your WebDAV share.


  1. Click the Windows logo in the bottom left corner of the screen, then click Computer
  2. Select the menu item Tools → Map network drive…
  3. At the bottom of the "Map Network Drive" window, click the link at the bottom of the window Connect to Web site that you can use to store your documents and pictures.
  4. In the Add Network Location Wizard click Next
  5. Select Choose a custom network location, then click Next
  6. In the "Internet or network address" field, copy and paste in your WebDAV share URL. This example uses https://www.blazej-solutions.com/users/guest Then click Next.
  7. Copy and paste in your WebDAV share user name and password. In this example the user name is guest For future convenience, you may wish to to select "Remember my credentials". When you are done, click OK.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Click Finish
  10. You can now drag and drop files into the WebDAV share just as if it were a folder on your computer. However, you cannot delete items from the WebDAV share by dragging them to the Recycle Bin on your desktop. To delete a file, right-click on the file then select Delete.


    To access this WebDAV share folder again in the future:
    1. Click the Windows logo in the bottom left corner of the screen, then click Computer, as shown in step 1.
    2. In the left panel, under Network, select the WebDAV share.
